Had the Away afternoon tea. Very good selection of savoury treats. I really enjoyed the fish and chips and sausage roll. Sandwiches are rustic on thick slice bread but could have benefitted from more filling. Coffee and tea are unlimited and very good. Overall, it was a great experience.
We have tried food off of the room service menu and breakfast at Cafe Football and everything has been delicious and hot. The room service was prompt. We dined in the restaurant for breakfast and the selection of food offered was generous. I am really pleased with Cafe Football. Worth a try.
Came here this evening for my son’s birthday. The food was great and they even got to play football on the rooftop pitch! The Cafe Football manager- Clare went above and beyond to make it not only really special for my little boy but also to help me as much as she possibly could. I really can’t thank her enough and she made a huge difference to my whole experience. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back!
We visited Cafe Football 20/12. We went for afternoon tea as a celebration for my grandparents. We absolutely loved it. The whole experience. From stepping foot inside, we were treated like royalty, the staff couldn't do enough for us. The restaurant was lovely, my grandparents loved it. My grandad is a united fan and we had a fabulous views of the stadium. The afternoon tea was delicious. Really can't fault anything. Thank you for a fantastic experience and making the day so special.
Visited when Manchester United were playing away so I could watch the game on TV as I ate dinner.
One of the managers (I assume?) was very friendly and came over to speak to us early on, which was a nice touch. Saw him doing this with other tables too. We were sat by a window and had a nice close up view of Old Trafford, which is right opposite.
There was a fair bit of a wait for the food, but I didn't mind this at all, as I was more interested in the football! When it came out, three of the pizzas were wrong, but it was dealt with immediately.
Again, I didn't mind too much as my priorities were elsewhere, but they were very apologetic and even went as far to say they were embarrassed. They offered to take the one correct meal away to be replaced with a fresh one at the same time as the rest, but my wife declined the kind offer.
When the correct food came out, it was good. Nothing incredible, but pretty much the standard I expected. We were able to enjoy and take our time eating while we watched the game.
Eventually when we asked for the bill, I noticed it seemed a lot lower than what I had expected. I asked if something had been taken off (too honest for my own good!). The server explained that they'd taken off 20% because of the earlier errors, which was very nice of them to be honest. They wouldn't have even mentioned it if I hadn't, which was classy of them.
I regularly head over for tea, coffee, or hot chocolate during the day. A bite to eat and a drink once in a while in the evening. Friendly staff. I tend to stay away during match days but that it my preference.
Weird place this. Went on a match day. Food was decent but insanely overpriced. My server was a nice lad. Most of the staff seemed sound, apart from one weird short blonde woman who seemed miserable in all honesty. Proper blunt and unwelcoming. The worst part about this place is the bar area. It’s rammed, which of course it will be on a matchday, but that isn’t the bad part. Friends and family of the owners (Neville, Scholes, etc) reserve the very limited number tables there are for the whole season, yet don’t turn up for hours thus leaving the seats empty. But don’t even think about sitting down! It doesn’t matter if the bar is heaving and you’re an old man with a walking stick. If you dare to sit at Gary Neville’s massively important nephew’s table, even when he hasn’t bothered turning up two hours into the reservation, when the bar is packed to the rafters, old bar maid will give you the stink eye and get snippy with you.
We've been here twice before a couple of years ago & loved it & obviously as Manchester United fans we love it. We booked ahead & had a great experience again & stayed after our tea to watch the Women's Euro's match England v Spain & it was a great atmosphere to watch & enjoy it there. Lovely, friendly staff too! Thanks Cafe Football! 😊⚽ …
